Write Because You Can

Write because you can; write because you cannot stop; write because you feel something, but mostly write to get all that information out of your head and onto the page. Anyone can and most should write down the events in their daily lives just to express all those pent up feelings on the page if not for the added benefit of keeping a record of what you have done, gone through, endure, enjoyed, or just plain are bored about. Everyone expresses themselves in different ways. Not all of them constructive. Writing things down for yourself doesn’t hurt anyone. Who knows with enough practice you might even be able to tell a great story that people want to read. Plain Vanilla Me

You say – the clouds are vanilla,
And, so am I.
You say – the moon is vanilla,
And, so am I.
You say – the caps of the waves are vanilla,
And, so am I.

You say – I’m plain,
Always the same.
A boring, stale, lacking, placid, simple, ordinary flame.
“Plain Vanilla.”

Since when did you notice me last?
Am I on today’s forecast?
Or, am I just your latest outcast?
Listen up, Migraine, this is my updated newscast:

The clouds may be vanilla,
But they deliver the rain.
The moon may be vanilla,
But in the night sky it reigns.
The caps of the waves may be vanilla,
But they can not be contained.
And neither can I…be just plain!
